Strap's & Stud's... Very, Very Givenchy.

In my Spring '10 trend report for "Prints & Plaids" I introduced a few images from Givenchy's up-coming Spring collection. In those images not only is the ever gorgeous Jesus Luz featured, but also some pretty incredible sandals are as well. Here they are again!! Up-close and personal! I have had my eyes on the black studded pair since the image was first up-loaded, I would also like to own the gold metallic pair :) They are the perfect! The classic Roman Gladiator sandal definitely needed a touch of Givenchy this Spring/Summer. Whether you are dressing up or dressing down these sandals won't do a bit of harm to whatever it is you wear. Expect to see these in January or February, so there is time to save!---I'm already in touch with a Barney's salesman! xx

Too Cool for School.

Whether or not you are in school or out, there is no question that Thorocraft is far too cool for school, work and all the other soles. Creator Alex James, of New York, will present his first collection this up-coming Spring with (pictured below, clockwise.) "THE ROSS", THE TREVOR", and "THE XANDER". The three finely crafted shoes promise craftsmanship, quality, durability and comfort; they will be made in either Italy or Vietnam and are said to cost bet-ween $140-$220.

Tom Ford's "A Single Man"

Fashion designer Tom Ford may surprise viewers and critics beyond expectations with "A Single Man". The film has been acquired for distribution by the Weinstein Company of the Toronto International Film Festival. I don't doubt that "A Single Man" has impeccable taste, style and aesthetics as well as having great direction from Ford; a man who always knows exactly what it is he wants and has yet to fail delivering just that. There is rumored to be an oscar nomination for Colin Firth, who plays a maturing gay professor who looses the desire to live after his partner dies in a car crash.

Lanvin Spring/Summer 2010 Runway + Versace Spring/Summer 2010 Runway.

Lanvin S/S'10 = Street & Chic. Versace S/S'10 = Desert Day-wear Mirage.

First things first, MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Jimmy Choo arrives at H&M November 14th (only 4 days after my birthday) and will appear in approx. 25o stores Worldwide. Jimmy Choo + H&M will offer men R-T-W clothing, bags, accessories and shoes. I am in love with the pair of black strapped combat boots as well as the studded python embossed slip-ons. I'm curious on how well the denim will fit and feel, am very interested in both pairs. See you there, I will be in the front of the line!

Gonna tie you up & play!

Jermyn Street's Thomas Pink jumped on the Designer-Apple bandwagon and most certainly did not disappoint. This is not only clever but is very practical; your nano will be secure once earplugs are strung through the top fabric loop. The computer tie is 100% silk and is available in eight different colors: grey, charcoal, purple, blue, green, orange, red, & deep pink. The tie is available onlinehere and also in stores now!

Sand, Stone & Sky.

Personally I favor the sand tones and sky blues for this up-coming Spring. Transparent and light fabrics were made for these colors. Light trench coats, suits, blazers, vests and jumpers are key pieces to own in these light and airy pastels. Stonewashed grey suede and light tan chukka boots have my vote as well as any solid color multi-strapped sandal for Spring 2010!

.....Like the Deserts Miss the Rain.

Shades of brown and tan are reminiscent of the sand where whites resemble a mirage in this desert themed color pallet. Multi-strapped sandals and polished leather or suede chukka boots are going to be the only two you need for this up-coming season; so I hope you are all taking care of your chukkas this current season! Light knee-length jackets, low crew-necks, and shield sunglasses will correspond well with rolled pants or shorts.

After Nightfalls.

Harem and cropped pants, jumpers, sleeveless shirts, metallic or polished shoes will all come with Spring nightfall. Mixing light and dark pieces with an occasional pop(s) of color will translate day to night. Adding a bold neutral to a light ensemble will have the same effect for those who do not favor bold colors. I love nighting-out-wear, night is my favorite time of the day to dress; the much sexier mentality always allows for fantastic things to happen from head to toe, not to mention you look much slimmer and tanner in pictures. ;)

Spring Forward and Splurrg on a Pair of SPURR jeans.

SPURR jeans offer us phenomenal fits fella's! Based out of New York, Simon Spurr does not only produce quality denim, he is very well known for his R-T-W. In a recent interview with askmen.com, Spurr talks about bringing back the double-breasted suit as well as seeking inspiration from old Helmut Newton portraits. I primarily wear women's jeans for I am a size 28" x 34.5", Korean boy and have very fit legs that call for tighter fits. These are TOP NOTCH, premium, designer, "low-rise" jeans! One of the best fits (I tired the straight leg - Green Indigo) I have ever tried on for men that are not $900+. This past year, due to hard financial times I was forced to sell 60% of my denim collection for much needed cash. For the rest of this year and the following, I plan on actively recovering my collection with the best meant to last. I will keep up-dating you fella's with great fits and incredible new denim finds!

Shades of White.

With a popular demand for darks comes an even higher demand for layers of white tones. As Spring grows warmer don't remove layers, just use thinner materials and lighter colors. While suede chukka boots and multi-strap sandals are for walking, chiffons, cottons and linens are for wearing; and remember: the lighter, the better!
